The Program Committees also fall under the participatory organs of Tilburg Law School. They consist of both teachers and students and have an advisory role, mainly as regards to the Education Board (ECE). For every program, one of its students is its representative and thus fills a position in the Program Committees. Therefore, each student only represents the other students from their program, and not all students of TLS.
The Program Committees mainly discuss program-related matters, like exams or syllabi. Next to the Education Board, they’re therefore also frequently in contact with the teachers of their program.
To decide which students fill a position in the Program Committees, applications are hosted during the Open Party Meetings. The Faculty Council members then decide whether or not they think the applicant is fit to fill the position, taking the advise of the OPM into account.
