Magister JFT | Juribes has several committees, both formal and social. These committees organise various activities throughout the year. By joining a committee, you develop your skills and expand your network! Are you interested in joining a committee or do you have other questions? Then mail to juribes@magisterjft.nl
Career committee
In terms of careers, Magister JFT | Juribes wants to be able to support students. For this purpose, we have the Career Committee. This committee offers students the chance to take a look into the Public Administraiton work field. Throughout the year, the committee organises activities such as an Alumni Night, where alumni of the bachelor of public administration come and talk about their career paths. The committee also organises the annual successful event Dine & Discuss, where students can engage in conversation with public administration professionals over dinner and drinks. It may also organise other activities, such as a visit to a ministry or an in-house day at a company. In this way, we hope to give students more knowledge about the job market they will later enter.
Educational Committee
For several years now, the Educational Committee has been reformed. As a result, the committee matches students' need to develop themselves more alongside their studies. The committee does this by organising various trainings and pub lectures. Through the trainings, students can develop skills that can be useful during their studies, but also later in their careers. The pub lectures are interesting and informative evenings where students also learn about public administration topics over a beer.
Podcast committee
For several years now, Juribes has had its own podcast, namely 'Bestuurskunde in Beeld: deJuribes podcast'. The episodes discuss various public administration topics of interest, but also review and look ahead at various Juribes activities. All episodes can be listened to on Spotify! Please note that all episodes are in Dutch.
Political Committee
The Political Committee deals with the political part of public administration by organising activities related to it. Every year, the Political Committee focuses on that year's relevant elections, or other important political events. This year, the Political Committee organised a debate for the Parlement elections and will organise another activity for the European elections at the end of the academic year! In addition, every year the committee also organises the Political Pubquiz, where students compete in teams on topical issues.
